Those that come here know how powerful reflexology can be in supporting deep relaxation and restoring balance. Now, an exciting collaboration between Cortigenix, the University of Oxford, and the Association of Reflexologists (AOR) is taking a closer look at how reflexology might help reduce chronic stress on a physiological level.

This study focuses on cortisol — often called the ‘stress hormone’. While traditional tests like blood or saliva offer only a snapshot of short-term stress, this research uses hair analysis to measure cortisol levels over time, offering a more accurate view of the body’s long-term stress response.

It’s a gentle but significant step toward understanding how reflexology supports not just how we feel, but what’s happening within our bodies. Could this natural therapy be part of a more holistic approach to managing chronic stress?
